Let’s face the sweet, delicious facts shall we? There is never really a bad time to eat a homemade cannoli. There is however, some seriously awful ways to make cannoli shells. That’s why we wanted to spend time today sharing our cooking advice on how to make one that’s worthy of a television cameo.

The perfect cannoli shell starts with having access to the best baking supplies. In our opinion, that equates to having the following tools on hand:

Once you have the best baking supplies on hand, mix up a batch of your favorite cannoli dough. Then roll out the dough and cut it into ovals. Next, brush the oval’s edges with egg wash. When you are finished, wrap the oval around the tube and pinch the top seam shut. Continue by flaring out the open edges of the oval so the oil will be able to reach its inner recesses.

From there, place the raw cannoli shells onto the tube screen. Make sure that they are evenly spaced and not touching one another. Then carefully lower the screen into the deep-fryer. When the shells are nice and crispy, raise the screen and let the excess oil drain off of them. Afterward, gently remove them from the screen with your tongs. While still holding the tube with the tongs, slide the shells free and set them aside.

Allow the shells to reach room temperature before you attempt to go any further. Otherwise, the cheese filling, chocolate and nuts are apt to react poorly to the heat. To learn more about using the best baking supplies to make the perfect cannoli, please contact us at (888) 617-3418.
